I worked for a hardware wholesale trading company in Sanjo City for 30 years, and since joining the company, I have been involved in new product development and market development work.

In 2009, the company decided to create a catalog with the theme of "Sanjo hand tools", met with various manufacturers, and requested the supply of products.  

Among the manufacturers requested, there is a factory for Thread  scissors manufactured by the old-fashioned method, and we will observe the manufacturing process of Thread scissors that are carefully manufactured one by one by "forging".

I learned that each work process is skillfully made by the craftsmanship cultivated over many years, and there is no simple process.

I realized once again the high skill of Sanjo craftsmen. 

However at present, due to the aging of craftsmen and the shortage of successors, the craftsmanship that has been passed down for 400 years is being lost.

Even now that advances in production technology have made it possible to produce inexpensive, high-quality products, tools made by traditional methods do not lose their genuine brilliance.

We wanted to contribute to the succession of Sanjo's traditional technology through product planning and market development, and in January 2021, we opened SG Support.

I would like to do my best to convey the goodness of Sanjo's Products to users.
